Oregon Innovators Move Projects Forward with Two Rounds of Grant Awards.
Business Oregon, an Oregon state agency, announces the award of a $146,630 SBIR matching grant from Business Oregon to support scale-up of our Asanté ® HIV-1 Rapid Recency ®Assay and the hire and training of manufacturing and quality control staff. The rapid assay, intended to identify recent infections as a tool to enable real time surveillance of new infections, identify hot spots and monitor progression of the HIV epidemic, has undergone CDC evaluations and is currently being implemented in collaboration with U.S Centers for Disease Control and Prevention into the PEPFAR (U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief) program worldwide.
