FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
All three sizes of strips should fully dry within 20 minutes to 1 hour.
This depends on what is being analyzed, how the strips have been transported and stored, and should be validated for your particular study.
The Dried Blood Specimen collection strips should recover all the blood that was collected. The typical yield of antibodies, protein, DNA or biomarkers will vary dependent on how the specimen is diluted and what is being looked for.
The Dried Blood Specimen collection strips are offered in 3 different sizes based off the size of the sample pad. The table in the section above summarizes dimensions and amount of specimen absorbed for each size.
This will depend on the elution buffer. For many analytes, 500 μL of either deionized water or a mild buffer may be adequate. For the complete process, please follow our product insert which can be found in the section above.
