Sales and Marketing Manager

Sedia Biosciences is hiring a Sales and Marketing Manager at our Beaverton, Oregon location. At Sedia, we create diagnostic and disease-monitoring products that provide cost effective solutions for rapid, near patient testing. We are currently seeking responsible individuals motivated to help research and develop our future diagnostic products.

Position Summary

Leads and conducts sales and marketing efforts focused on supporting the company’s image/brand, customers and services the sales and marketing program. Exercises independent judgement based on professional training and experience for non-critical and critical tasks. Typically leads a small team of 1-2 junior sales and/or marketing associates to accomplish goals.

Reports to:  Associate Scientist/Scientist/Senior Scientist/Project Manager/Senior Project Manager

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with VP, sales and marketing to set quarterly and yearly sales milestones; Exact targets and milestones to be determined at employment commencement or at the start of the calendar year.
  • Use all available tools and skill to drive product adoption across Sedia Product Portfolio to achieve sales and revenue milestones set by supervisor.
  • Provide high quality customer service; collect customer feedback, complaints and questions and followup
  • with customers in a timely manner.
  • Convert customer inquiries to orders in a timely manner to achieve sales milestone KPI’ s
  • Execute customer orders by preparing, delivering, and storing quotes, invoices, commercial invoices, packing lists, and waybills.
  • Execute customer orders by preparing, delivering, and storing quotes, invoices, commercial invoices.
  • Follow-up on outstanding or delayed customer orders; identify reason for delay, remove barriers to execute order
  • Use internal Sedia Sales Dashboard tools at regular intervals to report out on sales KPI’s
  • Input all new orders into Sedia Sales Funnel tool
  • Manage sales funnel: input new inquiries, quotes, and purchase orders, update orders in a timely manner, report out to supervisor on an regular basis (to be agreed upon with supervisor).
  • Report out on sales funnel details as required, provide updates on accounts receivable to supervisor and CEO on a regular basis (to be agreed upon with supervisor and CEO).
  • Provide feedback on function of sales and marketing tools to supervisor.
  • Collect and support consolidation of market demand for forecasting and sales projections and report to supervisors on a regular basis.
  • Draft and prepare sales and distribution contracts, presentations
  • Prepares marketing documents and promotional materials as necessary.
  • Coordinate with production and materials management on product availability, upcoming product
  • availability.
  • Produce product rationing plan based on current and upcoming product availability and customer demand; provide detailed updates to production and materials management via smartsheets.
  • Marketing activities: lead drafting content creation for website rebuild and reformat, drafting content for all conferences and presentations, work with outside designer for graphics needs. Draft and lead social media content creation (twitter and facebook), and gather data on reach and effectiveness of social media. Work with supervisor and other departments on product labeling including Quality, R&D and Regulatory.
  • Supports drafting market forecast of products for use by Operations to develop Production Plan and for use by supervisor in preparing draft revenue projections.
  • Other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.

Ph.D. or M.S. with 6+, B.S. with 8+ years; Sales/Marketing/Branding/Brand Management/CRM Management or similar.
